• Bissell acquires from Harris 414 acres designated for commercial development
• By August, Ballantyne One begins construction as first commercial office building in the Corporate Park

• Construction begins on AXA/Equitable Building, Ballantyne Two, Courtyard Marriott

1999

• Brixham Green One, Corporate Villas, ESPN, LendingTree and Brixham Green Two buildings completed
• September, Ballantyne Resort Hotel groundbreaking
