| Ballantyne Breakfast Club To Welcome New Police Chief - Wednesday, July 02, 2008 The next Ballantyne Breakfast Club meeting will be held on July 12th at Ballantyne Resort in the Ballroom. The meeting is open to the public. On the agenda is the newest Chief of Police, Rodney Monroe. Chief Monroe comes to Charlotte from Richmond, VA where he was the chief for the last three years. He has served as the chief of the Macon, GA police department and spent 22 years with the Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Department were he ranked assistant chief.
